Narrative:
Many thunderstorms in iah area. We received a rerte and long ground delay. Captain was getting upset with ATC. After takeoff (I was PF), ATC vectored us straight toward a large cell. I asked ATC for a turn and got a 130 degree heading from them. Captain said, 'screw them, fly a 150 degree heading.' after about 2 mins on the 150 degree heading, ATC asked what we were doing!!
