Narrative:
Right engine strut overheat light illuminated and shortly thereafter right engine fire warning. Lights went out when throttle moved to idle position. Soon the fire warning illuminated again. Engine shut down by appropriate procedures. Both bottles discharged. Fire light was illuminated for remainder for flight. ATC was notified, emergency declared, fuel dumped to maximum landing weight. Lax fire department checked engine for signs of fire after landing and reported all looked well. Even noted in aircraft logbook and aircraft turned over to maintenance departure. Company irregularity report filed.

Title: ACR LGT EXPERIENCES ENGINE PYLON OVERHEAT AND ENGINE FIRE WARNINGS SHORTLY AFTER DEP FROM LAX.
Narrative: RIGHT ENG STRUT OVERHEAT LIGHT ILLUMINATED AND SHORTLY THEREAFTER RIGHT ENG FIRE WARNING. LIGHTS WENT OUT WHEN THROTTLE MOVED TO IDLE POS. SOON THE FIRE WARNING ILLUMINATED AGAIN. ENG SHUT DOWN BY APPROPRIATE PROCS. BOTH BOTTLES DISCHARGED. FIRE LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED FOR REMAINDER FOR FLT. ATC WAS NOTIFIED, EMER DECLARED, FUEL DUMPED TO MAX LNDG WT. LAX FIRE DEPT CHKED ENG FOR SIGNS OF FIRE AFTER LNDG AND RPTED ALL LOOKED WELL. EVEN NOTED IN ACFT LOGBOOK AND ACFT TURNED OVER TO MAINT DEP. COMPANY IRREGULARITY RPT FILED.
