Narrative:

Was cleared by control tower to taxi onto runway and back taxi to end for takeoff. My airline uses a video presentation for emergency demonstration required by FAA. F/as did not start tape until we had begun to back taxi on runway. By the time we reached the end of the runway and made a 180 degree in preparation for takeoff, tape had just barely begun. Tower then cleared us for takeoff. I then told the captain that our F/as were not ready yet but he instructed me to cut in on the PA and make the takeoff announcement to passenger. We then took off with the demonstration not nearly completed. Later on in the flight, I went back on my own to apologize to the purser. He told me that not only was the demonstration tape not finished before we got airborne but most F/as were not even in their seats. As an afterthought, I should not have let the captain takeoff, but I felt intimidated by him (I am very young and relatively low experienced at my company). I also had never flown with this captain before.

Narrative: WAS CLRED BY CTL TWR TO TAXI ONTO RWY AND BACK TAXI TO END FOR TKOF. MY AIRLINE USES A VIDEO PRESENTATION FOR EMER DEMONSTRATION REQUIRED BY FAA. TWR THEN CLRED US FOR TKOF. I THEN TOLD THE CAPT THAT OUR F/AS WERE NOT READY YET BUT HE INSTRUCTED ME TO CUT IN ON THE PA AND MAKE THE TKOF ANNOUNCEMENT TO PAX. WE THEN TOOK OFF WITH THE DEMO NOT NEARLY COMPLETED. LATER ON IN THE FLT, I WENT BACK ON MY OWN TO APOLOGIZE TO THE PURSER. HE TOLD ME THAT NOT ONLY WAS THE DEMO TAPE NOT FINISHED BEFORE WE GOT AIRBORNE BUT MOST F/AS WERE NOT EVEN IN THEIR SEATS. AS AN AFTERTHOUGHT, I SHOULD NOT HAVE LET THE CAPT TKOF, BUT I FELT INTIMIDATED BY HIM (I AM VERY YOUNG AND RELATIVELY LOW EXPERIENCED AT MY COMPANY). I ALSO HAD NEVER FLOWN WITH THIS CAPT BEFORE.
