Narrative:
The gear switch was selected on downwind and I verified green light. Throttled down and turned base, then final for runway 17 at jyo. When I began to flare, I heard metal and contact with ground was made. I controled my descent and came to a stop. The aircraft is a 1964 small aircraft 3500 total time. No previous malfunction with gear was noticed. Aircraft is being repaired and gear is being checked. To prevent this from happening again, I will install safe see mirrors on the wings to verify gear down.
