Narrative:
The first officer that I am flying with filed a lawsuit concerning his seniority. In den at company dispatch area, he was confronted by an ord captain and an ord first officer and 2 den first officer's. During the confrontation he was verbally and abusively attacked and his civil rights were threatened. This happened approximately 30 mins prior ot departure. It was somewhat distracting to me and extremely distracting to my first officer. I feel this kind of behavior is a serious threat to safety because of the mental distraction. This has gone on for over 5 yrs on company property and was starting to die down, but after the recent court action the intimidating behavior is resurfacing. All pilots and crew members should not feel threatened when they come to work. This is not the case for many crew members on company property. No one will confront my crew members abusively when I am around.
