Narrative:
We were en route from bos to ewr on V292 and received traffic information from ZBW. Observing information from our onboard TCAS unit, we received a descend command to avoid conflict. We immediately asked for an east vector and did so before descending. 'Clear of conflict' was received from TCAS and we continued on course. ATC stated no problem.
