Narrative:
We were assigned 2500 MSL by the controller on vectors to final. The captain started a slow climb above 2500 ft to 2700. I alerted him and he continued to climb. Then he stopped and went back down. We were to follow an medium large transport on final for 24R, then switch to 24L. He started climbing again to 2900 MSL. I alerted him but he ignored me. I guess he was trying to avoid crossing traffic wake. I don't know.
