Narrative:

We were level at 22000 awaiting higher altitude. TCAS announced 'traffic'. Scope depicted traffic 11 O'clock, 600 ft below, and climbing. Traffic continued to close and climb. The captain initiated a level turn to the right and the target passed off the left at our altitude and approximately 1 mi. No visual contact was made. Geneva center was advised and they acknowledged that an aircraft had just appeared on the scope in our vicinity. Center advised that they were contacting milan center regarding the traffic.

Title: TCASII OBSERVED INTRUDER TFC. CAPT MADE R TURN TO AVOID THE CLBING TFC, NOT RPTED BY CENTER UNTIL AFTER TFC WAS CLR.

Narrative: WE WERE LEVEL AT 22000 AWAITING HIGHER ALT. TCAS ANNOUNCED 'TFC'. SCOPE DEPICTED TFC 11 O'CLOCK, 600 FT BELOW, AND CLBING. TFC CONTINUED TO CLOSE AND CLB. THE CAPT INITIATED A LEVEL TURN TO THE R AND THE TARGET PASSED OFF THE L AT OUR ALT AND APPROX 1 MI. NO VISUAL CONTACT WAS MADE. GENEVA CENTER WAS ADVISED AND THEY ACKNOWLEDGED THAT AN ACFT HAD JUST APPEARED ON THE SCOPE IN OUR VICINITY. CENTER ADVISED THAT THEY WERE CONTACTING MILAN CENTER REGARDING THE TFC.
