Narrative:
While on short final approach the landing gear indications changed from the normal 3 green lights to 3 green lights plus a red left main gear light. I brought it to the attention of the captain and first officer. The aircraft touched down soon after at which time a go around was initiated and the landing gear retracted. The landing gear was extended on downwind with normal indications, and we landed without further incident.
