Narrative:
I landed on runway 21R at pasco, wa. I taxied to terminal via taxiway delta and parked at base of tower out of commercial traffic's way. I escorted 4 other people to terminal so they could make flight connections. Upon entering the terminal (from ramp area), we approached security lady to find out how to get to ticket area. She summoned security officer who got mad and took us back to my plane. He told me I was parked in a clearly marked restr area. I had to move the plane and then he escorted my passengers to front of terminal. The asphalt was not marked as to restr area. No signs on tower or fence. There was one sign on fence post which said it was restr area but sign could only be read on taxiway alpha, opposite direction from which I came. I parked on north side of tower instead of west side (a matter of 20/30 ft). I moved plane then reentered terminal (from the front). The sign on the post would not be able to be read at night. There is a light above it but it is very high above the sign. There are no signs on north side of tower saying no parking or restrictive area.

I PARKED ON N SIDE OF TWR INSTEAD OF W SIDE (A MATTER OF 20/30 FT). I MOVED PLANE THEN REENTERED TERMINAL (FROM THE FRONT). THE SIGN ON THE POST WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO BE READ AT NIGHT. THERE IS A LIGHT ABOVE IT BUT IT IS VERY HIGH ABOVE THE SIGN. THERE ARE NO SIGNS ON N SIDE OF TWR SAYING NO PARKING OR RESTRICTIVE AREA.
