Narrative:
Small aircraft X departed pao. Large power lines 1/2 mi north of palo alto (pao) airport have no operating obstruction lights (or markings) very hazardous. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: callback made to FAA tower supervisor. He stated there are pg and east power lines 1/2 mi north of the airport and 1/4 mi northeast of the airport without obstruction lights. To his knowledge this has not been brought to anyone's attention.

Narrative: SMA X DEPARTED PAO. LARGE PWR LINES 1/2 MI N OF PALO ALTO (PAO) ARPT HAVE NO OPERATING OBSTRUCTION LIGHTS (OR MARKINGS) VERY HAZARDOUS. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION: CALLBACK MADE TO FAA TWR SUPVR. HE STATED THERE ARE PG AND E PWR LINES 1/2 MI N OF THE ARPT AND 1/4 MI NE OF THE ARPT WITHOUT OBSTRUCTION LIGHTS. TO HIS KNOWLEDGE THIS HAS NOT BEEN BROUGHT TO ANYONE'S ATTN.
