Narrative:

I had obtained a VFR TCA clearance on the ground at oakland airport for sfo TCA with landing at sfo. After some vectoring we were told to expect sfo 28R then after switching to sfo tower we reported for the right and were cleared 28R. After touchdown the controller told an aircraft behind to go around 'that guy landed on the right'! Then we were instructed to turn off on highspeed and hold short 28L, which we did. Then cleared to cross 28L. The taxiway directly across from the highspeed was barricaded off so I turned down the runway 28L for approximately 75-100 to the next turn off and was immediately told to get off the runway. I was then told to call the tower when reaching FBO. When I called I was asked which runway I understood I was to land and I said it was 28R. The supervisor said the controllers all had 28L written down and that he would have to review the tapes. He also said that I did not turn where I was instructed and that I was on 28L too long in crossing. The airport was very busy at this time and it was extremely hard to ask for clarification on the taxi instructions. When arriving back in chico (home) I called the sfo tower supervisor and asked about the tapes. He said, oh no problem there, you were cleared on the right runway and that a controller had made a mistake! But that I had still taxied too long on 28L in crossing. In reconstructing the whole episode I do not feel that I did anything wrong at all! Because of the first error that they thought I made (runway 28R) it seemed to compound the taxi situation. Maybe I didn't use the exact taxiway that he wanted but the one I used was only a few ft away. No airplanes were anywhere close on 28L. I asked if there was going to be any action taken and the supervisor said he didn't think so.

Title: GA SMA ACCUSED OF LNDG ON THE WRONG RWY AT SFO AFTER A TRANS BAY FLT.

Narrative: I HAD OBTAINED A VFR TCA CLRNC ON THE GND AT OAKLAND ARPT FOR SFO TCA WITH LNDG AT SFO. AFTER SOME VECTORING WE WERE TOLD TO EXPECT SFO 28R THEN AFTER SWITCHING TO SFO TWR WE RPTED FOR THE R AND WERE CLRED 28R. AFTER TOUCHDOWN THE CTLR TOLD AN ACFT BEHIND TO GAR 'THAT GUY LANDED ON THE RIGHT'! THEN WE WERE INSTRUCTED TO TURN OFF ON HIGHSPEED AND HOLD SHORT 28L, WHICH WE DID. THEN CLRED TO CROSS 28L. THE TAXIWAY DIRECTLY ACROSS FROM THE HIGHSPEED WAS BARRICADED OFF SO I TURNED DOWN THE RWY 28L FOR APPROX 75-100 TO THE NEXT TURN OFF AND WAS IMMEDIATELY TOLD TO GET OFF THE RWY. I WAS THEN TOLD TO CALL THE TWR WHEN REACHING FBO. WHEN I CALLED I WAS ASKED WHICH RWY I UNDERSTOOD I WAS TO LAND AND I SAID IT WAS 28R. THE SUPVR SAID THE CTLRS ALL HAD 28L WRITTEN DOWN AND THAT HE WOULD HAVE TO REVIEW THE TAPES. HE ALSO SAID THAT I DID NOT TURN WHERE I WAS INSTRUCTED AND THAT I WAS ON 28L TOO LONG IN XING. THE ARPT WAS VERY BUSY AT THIS TIME AND IT WAS EXTREMELY HARD TO ASK FOR CLARIFICATION ON THE TAXI INSTRUCTIONS. WHEN ARRIVING BACK IN CHICO (HOME) I CALLED THE SFO TWR SUPVR AND ASKED ABOUT THE TAPES. HE SAID, OH NO PROBLEM THERE, YOU WERE CLRED ON THE R RWY AND THAT A CTLR HAD MADE A MISTAKE! BUT THAT I HAD STILL TAXIED TOO LONG ON 28L IN XING. IN RECONSTRUCTING THE WHOLE EPISODE I DO NOT FEEL THAT I DID ANYTHING WRONG AT ALL! BECAUSE OF THE FIRST ERROR THAT THEY THOUGHT I MADE (RWY 28R) IT SEEMED TO COMPOUND THE TAXI SITUATION. MAYBE I DIDN'T USE THE EXACT TAXIWAY THAT HE WANTED BUT THE ONE I USED WAS ONLY A FEW FT AWAY. NO AIRPLANES WERE ANYWHERE CLOSE ON 28L. I ASKED IF THERE WAS GOING TO BE ANY ACTION TAKEN AND THE SUPVR SAID HE DIDN'T THINK SO.
