Narrative:
VFR flight from det to 3HE. 10 mi east of 3HE I announced our position and intention to land at livingston county airport on CTAF (122.8). 2 mi northeast again I broadcast our position and intentions of using a crosswind entry for a left downwind leg for runway 31 at livingston county. I called left downwind, left base and turning final. There was nobody on the frequency for livingston county. No traffic was observed by me or my copilot. On short final, somebody (I assume aircraft waiting at departure end of the active runway) called: small aircraft on final pull up or go around there is an small aircraft Y below you. I immediately applied full power for a go around. Keeping slightly to the north of the active, I could see an small aircraft Y directly approximately 250 ft below on the runway. After we landed I tried to contact the small aircraft Y on CTAF (122.8) repeatedly and got only unreadable garbled reply. We never saw the other aircraft or heard any position report while approaching and entering the traffic pattern.

I CALLED L DOWNWIND, L BASE AND TURNING FINAL. THERE WAS NOBODY ON THE FREQ FOR LIVINGSTON COUNTY. NO TFC WAS OBSERVED BY ME OR MY COPLT. ON SHORT FINAL, SOMEBODY (I ASSUME ACFT WAITING AT DEP END OF THE ACTIVE RWY) CALLED: SMA ON FINAL PULL UP OR GAR THERE IS AN SMA Y BELOW YOU. I IMMEDIATELY APPLIED FULL PWR FOR A GAR. KEEPING SLIGHTLY TO THE N OF THE ACTIVE, I COULD SEE AN SMA Y DIRECTLY APPROX 250 FT BELOW ON THE RWY. AFTER WE LANDED I TRIED TO CONTACT THE SMA Y ON CTAF (122.8) REPEATEDLY AND GOT ONLY UNREADABLE GARBLED REPLY. WE NEVER SAW THE OTHER ACFT OR HEARD ANY POS RPT WHILE APCHING AND ENTERING THE TFC PATTERN.
