Narrative:
I landed on runway 18 at ely after making a VFR traffic pattern and not observing any problems with the runway. I found out later that the runway was notamed closed although my wxmation printout said 'no current NOTAMS for ely on record.' plus the X on the runway was on the end of the unusable portion of the runway that is already marked off by chevrons, not on the numbers and technically not even on the runway. I'll make a drawing. Plus the X was made out of something like masking tape and it was barely visible. I think this would have been avoided if the wxmation system printed the NOTAM, and or if the X was large, white and on the numbers.

Title: ATX SMT LANDED ON A CLOSED RWY AT ELY.
Narrative: I LANDED ON RWY 18 AT ELY AFTER MAKING A VFR TFC PATTERN AND NOT OBSERVING ANY PROBLEMS WITH THE RWY.
