Narrative:

Flying solo cross country from fok to pou, approximately 10 mi from dxr noticed clouds ahead. Decided to leave 4500 ft for 3500 ft and return to fok. At 3500 ft could not maintain VFR, saw a break in overcast and descended to maintain VFR. Situation continued to deteriorate. Called dxr tower for assistance. They advised to squawk 7700 and they tried vectors for about 35 mins, finally was able to see oxc and landed. No further problems.

THEY ADVISED TO SQUAWK 7700 AND THEY TRIED VECTORS FOR ABOUT 35 MINS, FINALLY WAS ABLE TO SEE OXC AND LANDED. NO FURTHER PROBLEMS.
