Narrative:
While flying the ILS approach to runway 4R, we received a TCASII warning for traffic at our current position. After establishing visual contact with the traffic, and determining that a continued approach would result in a collision, we executed a go around. After a telephone discussion with the tower supervisor, we discovered that the aircraft had never been in contact with the tower, and was not tracked to its destination after the incident.
