Narrative:
I had air carrier X on final to runway 31R on 125.2, and cga Y (light transport) on 124.3 (frequency) AR3 opposite direction. I was working dallas south on very heavy traffic to dfw. I gave air carrier X on initial call a descent to 4000. AR3 later told me to expedite another air carrier to 3000. I did. Cga Y was descending to 4000 and turned 3 mi in front of air carrier X. Air carrier X said 'what is this traffic.' I told him that it was a VFR light transport going to love and he was through his final. Air carrier X said he had better not be VFR. I then looked again and cga Y was IFR. Air carrier X said he had a TCASII alert on the aircraft. Air carrier X did not deviation in any way. During all of this happening, they were trying to accomplish a position relief briefing.
