Narrative:

Purchased aircraft sep/xx/91, oneida lake, ny, float plane, destination long island. Flying at 1000 ft, 15 mi south of jfk over the atlantic ocean when I noticed the engine's oil pressure starting to drop to 10 pounds psi. I turned north to the closest land. At 5 mi from jfk the oil pressure dropped to '0' psi. I descended to 100 ft when I reached the inland waterway and continued east over the water at 100 ft until I found a safe landing area in the great south bay. This aircraft does not have an electrical system and no radios were aboard.
