Narrative:
Air carrier X had been cleared for takeoff on runway 9L at ord at night. The captain was flying and he had pwred up for takeoff when he heard air carrier Y on runway 4L say, 'I thought we were cleared for takeoff.' the captain chopped the power and set the brakes (we had just started to roll). By this time ord tower had figured out their mistake and called us to cancel our takeoff clearance. We acknowledged and took off a min or so later after air carrier Y.
