TCASII RA. Approaching dallas love field, TCASII gave a TA then an RA. Traffic at 12 O'clock, 200 ft. Unable to obtain traffic visually. Climbed, from assigned altitude of 3000 ft, to 3800 ft. Advised approach control of same. Approach rogered. Approach had previously issued traffic prior to TA. Never obtained traffic visually.

Narrative: TCASII RA. APCHING DALLAS LOVE FIELD, TCASII GAVE A TA THEN AN RA. TFC AT 12 O'CLOCK, 200 FT. UNABLE TO OBTAIN TFC VISUALLY. CLBED, FROM ASSIGNED ALT OF 3000 FT, TO 3800 FT. ADVISED APCH CTL OF SAME. APCH ROGERED. APCH HAD PREVIOUSLY ISSUED TFC PRIOR TO TA. NEVER OBTAINED TFC VISUALLY.
