Narrative:
In cruise at FL330 copilot noted altitude window on autoplt control panel indicated a selected altitude of 320. When he rotated the knob 1 notch to reset to 330, the window changed to 340. The aircraft maintained FL330 throughout and did not exhibit any unusual characteristics. The incident was repeated 1 more time during the flight approximately 5 mins later. Reported to company maintenance and operations and safety.

Title: RPTR INDICATES ALT SELECTOR TURN KNOB INEFFECTIVE IN CHANGING ALT OF ACFT THROUGH THE AUTOPLT.
Narrative: IN CRUISE AT FL330 COPLT NOTED ALT WINDOW ON AUTOPLT CTL PANEL INDICATED A SELECTED ALT OF 320. WHEN HE ROTATED THE KNOB 1 NOTCH TO RESET TO 330, THE WINDOW CHANGED TO 340. THE ACFT MAINTAINED FL330 THROUGHOUT AND DID NOT EXHIBIT ANY UNUSUAL CHARACTERISTICS. THE INCIDENT WAS REPEATED 1 MORE TIME DURING THE FLT APPROX 5 MINS LATER. RPTED TO COMPANY MAINT AND OPS AND SAFETY.
