Narrative:
Smoke entered cockpit, electrical smoke warning on cap. I asked for oxygen mask and smoke goggles. Crew communication was difficult with limited visibility and noise from sources like breathing, flight attendant calls, and cap warnings going off. I called for electrical smoke checklist. One of the first items calls for air conditioning smoke procedure if generated by air conditioning smoke. I did not hear this as the first officer ran the checklist. Only after completing electrical smoke checklist about 2 or 3 mins did we take care of the correct problem -- a pack on the left engine. We made an emergency landing in mkg and evacuate/evacuationed passenger on runway.
