Narrative:
I had landed IFR at cxy earlier in the day. Clearing the runway I had received taxi instructions on tower frequency. When ready to depart I copied ATIS and called ground control for departure clearance and taxi instructions. I was cleared out of parking and told to standby for clearance. Unknowingly, I was talking to middletown ground control across the susquehanna river from cxy. I thought the ground controller was confused when she asked me if I wanted to amend my clearance to depart harrisburg. That's what I filed for cxy is listed under harrisburg, PA, but harrisburg international, the main airport for harrisburg, is listed under middletown, mdt. Tower controllers at cxy saw me taxiing and, unable to reach me on cxy ground control, called mdt ground who asked me to contact cxy ground. No conflict. I was the only aircraft moving on the field at the time but quite embarrassing. Always check and doublechk communication frequency and if confusion is suspected, resolve it.
