Narrative:
Flight from catalina island to cma. Mugu approach was contacted 20 NM southeast of vtu. I was told to cross through mugu's air traffic area at or above 1700 ft. After passing through the air traffic area (mugu) I was told to contact cma tower. Cma tower told me to report 2 mi southeast for a left base to runway 26. I descended to cma traffic pattern altitude of 1075 ft MSL and reported as directed and landed. While taxiing in I was told that mugu had called and said there was a traffic conflict. I called mugu on the telephone and they said an mlt pilot reported that he had to alter his approach path because I was in his airspace. I called the air guard and left my telephone number for the pilot to call me but I never heard from him. The only mlt I saw was never closer to me than 3 mi and landed at mugu as I passed by. I was never told (in the air) by mugu or cma that there was other traffic or a conflict. I believe that since the air traffic area of mugu and cma overlap, that there should be better communication between the 2 facilities.

Title: SMA CLRED THROUGH ATA, ALLEGED CLOSE PROX OF MLT.
Narrative: FLT FROM CATALINA ISLAND TO CMA. MUGU APCH WAS CONTACTED 20 NM SE OF VTU. I WAS TOLD TO CROSS THROUGH MUGU'S ATA AT OR ABOVE 1700 FT. AFTER PASSING THROUGH THE ATA (MUGU) I WAS TOLD TO CONTACT CMA TWR. CMA TWR TOLD ME TO RPT 2 MI SE FOR A L BASE TO RWY 26. I DSNDED TO CMA TFC PATTERN ALT OF 1075 FT MSL AND RPTED AS DIRECTED AND LANDED. WHILE TAXIING IN I WAS TOLD THAT MUGU HAD CALLED AND SAID THERE WAS A TFC CONFLICT. I CALLED MUGU ON THE TELEPHONE AND THEY SAID AN MLT PLT RPTED THAT HE HAD TO ALTER HIS APCH PATH BECAUSE I WAS IN HIS AIRSPACE. I CALLED THE AIR GUARD AND LEFT MY TELEPHONE NUMBER FOR THE PLT TO CALL ME BUT I NEVER HEARD FROM HIM. THE ONLY MLT I SAW WAS NEVER CLOSER TO ME THAN 3 MI AND LANDED AT MUGU AS I PASSED BY. I WAS NEVER TOLD (IN THE AIR) BY MUGU OR CMA THAT THERE WAS OTHER TFC OR A CONFLICT. I BELIEVE THAT SINCE THE ATA OF MUGU AND CMA OVERLAP, THAT THERE SHOULD BE BETTER COM BTWN THE 2 FACILITIES.
