Narrative:
Altitude deviation was caused by crew trying to figure out the new government high altitude charts to comply with an ATC route clearance which was changed. We didn't comply with company operations which calls for all non essential activity to cease within 1000 ft of any level off.

Title: CORP ACFT EXCEEDS ASSIGNED ALT WHILE CHKING CHART FOR RTE THAT HAD BEEN CHANGED.
Narrative: ALTDEV WAS CAUSED BY CREW TRYING TO FIGURE OUT THE NEW GOV HIGH ALT CHARTS TO COMPLY WITH AN ATC RTE CLRNC WHICH WAS CHANGED. WE DIDN'T COMPLY WITH COMPANY OPS WHICH CALLS FOR ALL NON ESSENTIAL ACTIVITY TO CEASE WITHIN 1000 FT OF ANY LEVEL OFF.
