Narrative:

We were holding short of 26L at phx with a release time of :29 and 1 engine running. Tower cleared us into position at :24 and we declined since we still only had the 1 engine operating. We were told to hold short and I acknowledged the hold short. After the start, we had a light on the overhead that commanded my attention. As I was working off the problem, tower told us to hold short. As I looked down from the overhead I realized that the captain had been taxiing very slowly and had his nose up over the hold short line. The captain stopped. Tower asked if we were over the line and I acknowledged that our nose was. As we turned to the right to clear the line, tower sent an large transport around. Large transport flight crew stated that we looked clear. Communication! Communication! It counts for a lot!
