Narrative:

As we climbed through 6500 on departure, with a 7000 ft clearance, we received a 'traffic, traffic' advisory on our newly installed TCASII system. With both pilots looking outside for the traffic, we climbed through our assigned altitude to 7400 ft. The TCASII system installation is very slow at our bankrupt company. As a result most pilots only fly 1 or 2 TCASII equipped aircraft in a month's flying. The 'traffic, traffic' call is supposed to alert the pilot for possible evasive action. In this case the unusual interruption caused an altitude bust.
