Narrative:
During approach to msp on heading 280 degree, cleared to descend to 4000 ft. Told by msp approach to join 29R localizer. Advised an small transport X was on left base for 29L and I notified approach I had the aircraft in sight. As I proceeded inbound on 29R localizer the small transport X for 29L overshot and passed above me at the same time turning parallel to my course. My guess is we had about 100 ft vertical and 0 horizontal separation.

Title: LTT COMMUTER ON APCH TO MSP RWY 29R HAD SMT TWIN ON VISUAL TO 29L PASS OVER APPROX 100 FT AND REMAIN MOMENTARILY ON SAME COURSE AND HDG.
Narrative: DURING APCH TO MSP ON HDG 280 DEG, CLRED TO DSND TO 4000 FT. TOLD BY MSP APCH TO JOIN 29R LOC. ADVISED AN SMT X WAS ON L BASE FOR 29L AND I NOTIFIED APCH I HAD THE ACFT IN SIGHT. AS I PROCEEDED INBOUND ON 29R LOC THE SMT X FOR 29L OVERSHOT AND PASSED ABOVE ME AT THE SAME TIME TURNING PARALLEL TO MY COURSE. MY GUESS IS WE HAD ABOUT 100 FT VERT AND 0 HORIZ SEPARATION.
