Narrative:
Ord tower cleared us for takeoff on runway 9R. As we began the takeoff roll, tower cancelled our takeoff clearance. After coming to a stop, tower again cleared us for takeoff. We then proceeded with a normal takeoff. Though performance wise there was no problem, the takeoff roll was not begun at 'brick one' as per company procedures. If I could do this takeoff over, I would clear the runway and do the whole takeoff over to give me more time to set up and execute the takeoff.
