Narrative:
Parked at gate in dtw, aircraft rolled back into tug damaging right aileron. Bad communication between cockpit and ground via nonstandard hand signals. Cockpit thought chocks were in place and were not. Signals should be precise and standard.

Narrative: PARKED AT GATE IN DTW, ACFT ROLLED BACK INTO TUG DAMAGING R AILERON. BAD COM BTWN COCKPIT AND GND VIA NONSTANDARD HAND SIGNALS. COCKPIT THOUGHT CHOCKS WERE IN PLACE AND WERE NOT. SIGNALS SHOULD BE PRECISE AND STANDARD.
