Narrative:

At 7000 ft MSL while being worked by msp approach, we received a TCASII TA indicating an aircraft at 12 O'clock 5 mi and climbing. Approach control issued us an advisory of traffic at 3 mi 6000 ft. TCASII confirms, but shows aircraft still climbing. With aircraft at 2 mi and 800 ft below us, captain initiates a turn to the right of about 40 degree. I told approach that TCASII shows traffic climbing above announced altitude of 6000 ft. Approach confirms and issued a turn for avoidance. Aircraft passed our 9 O'clock position at co-altitude, 1 1/2 mi, (according to TCASII). Approach confirms location and altitude and said it was an medium large transport on climb out from msp.
