Narrative:
On nov/thu/91 afternoon we flew into charleston international airport. We had them top off our small aircraft. Local FBO put 17 gallons of fuel in it to top it off. On departing nov/thu/91 evening we had to abort takeoff due to loss of engine power on takeoff. We found that jet a fuel was put into our aircraft. FBO does not admit to the incident. We had the fuel completely drained out of both tanks. They then topped it off again. Nov/fri/91 ground control cleared us runway 33 heading at or below 1500 ft on departure. We were concerned on takeoff about the unusual temperature readings on the gauges so we continued to climb above our assigned altitude of 1500 ft anticipating an engine loss on takeoff. Departure then advised us of our altitude restriction and we advised him of our situation.

Title: GA SMA ALTDEV OVERSHOT DURING CLB.
Narrative: ON NOV/THU/91 AFTERNOON WE FLEW INTO CHARLESTON INTL ARPT. WE HAD THEM TOP OFF OUR SMA. LCL FBO PUT 17 GALLONS OF FUEL IN IT TO TOP IT OFF. ON DEPARTING NOV/THU/91 EVENING WE HAD TO ABORT TKOF DUE TO LOSS OF ENG PWR ON TKOF. WE FOUND THAT JET A FUEL WAS PUT INTO OUR ACFT. FBO DOES NOT ADMIT TO THE INCIDENT. WE HAD THE FUEL COMPLETELY DRAINED OUT OF BOTH TANKS. THEY THEN TOPPED IT OFF AGAIN. NOV/FRI/91 GND CTL CLRED US RWY 33 HDG AT OR BELOW 1500 FT ON DEP. WE WERE CONCERNED ON TKOF ABOUT THE UNUSUAL TEMP READINGS ON THE GAUGES SO WE CONTINUED TO CLB ABOVE OUR ASSIGNED ALT OF 1500 FT ANTICIPATING AN ENG LOSS ON TKOF. DEP THEN ADVISED US OF OUR ALT RESTRICTION AND WE ADVISED HIM OF OUR SITUATION.
