Narrative:
Vibration on #1 engine began to cycle between 1 and 2 units with accompanying airframe vibration. On descent with throttles retarded to approximately 65 percent a vibration went to 3-3.5 units steady with airframe vibration still evident. Shot single engine type flaps 15 approach with #1 engine at idle. At idle setting vibration was nil/0. Advised maintenance, dispatch and ATC of problem and had iad emergency vehicles standby for landing.
