Narrative:
Due to deice and icing conditions we received erroneous EPR as takeoff power was set. Aircraft was just beginning roll (less than 15 KTS), when anomaly noted, so we called the abort to tower and cleared the runway. After running the engines for about 10 seconds above 70%, indications returned to normal. Takeoff was initiated again and was normal. Queried captain about release, re-release, or maintenance write-up. He said it was not necessary. I thought it was, but did not pursue the thought, as I am new to the carrier and not familiar with all maintenance procedures. One contributing factor was time of day. There were significant delays due to snow, and we were not deiced till nearly XA00. I have made a greater effort to know our procedures regarding maintenance and logbook write-ups.

Title: AN ACR MLG HAD A LOW SPD TKOF ABORTED DUE TO ERRONEOUS EPR READINGS.
Narrative: DUE TO DEICE AND ICING CONDITIONS WE RECEIVED ERRONEOUS EPR AS TKOF PWR WAS SET. ACFT WAS JUST BEGINNING ROLL (LESS THAN 15 KTS), WHEN ANOMALY NOTED, SO WE CALLED THE ABORT TO TWR AND CLRED THE RWY. AFTER RUNNING THE ENGS FOR ABOUT 10 SECONDS ABOVE 70%, INDICATIONS RETURNED TO NORMAL. TKOF WAS INITIATED AGAIN AND WAS NORMAL. QUERIED CAPT ABOUT RELEASE, RE-RELEASE, OR MAINT WRITE-UP. HE SAID IT WAS NOT NECESSARY. I THOUGHT IT WAS, BUT DID NOT PURSUE THE THOUGHT, AS I AM NEW TO THE CARRIER AND NOT FAMILIAR WITH ALL MAINT PROCS. ONE CONTRIBUTING FACTOR WAS TIME OF DAY. THERE WERE SIGNIFICANT DELAYS DUE TO SNOW, AND WE WERE NOT DEICED TILL NEARLY XA00. I HAVE MADE A GREATER EFFORT TO KNOW OUR PROCS REGARDING MAINT AND LOGBOOK WRITE-UPS.
