Narrative:

We climbed to 33000 ft, to heavy for 37000. After burnoff, we checked the aircraft weight charts and we appeared light enough to climb to FL370. We received clearance to climb to FL370. Out of 35500 we were instructed to turn left by ATC. Rate of climb until then was approximately 500 FPM. Turn approximately 20 degrees left. During the turn, the climb and airspeed stagnated. We could not accelerate or climb for a short time. ATC turned us further left and asked rate of climb. We turned and explained that the turn stagnated our climb, but initially it was about 500 FPM. ATC stated after we returned on course that it took 102 mi to climb from FL330 to FL370 and caused him to turn us 90 degrees (approximately) to the left for traffic. No other problems noted by ATC.

Title: SLOW CLB ACCOUNT WT RESULTS IN VECTOR FOR TFC SEPARATION.

Narrative: WE CLBED TO 33000 FT, TO HVY FOR 37000. AFTER BURNOFF, WE CHKED THE ACFT WT CHARTS AND WE APPEARED LIGHT ENOUGH TO CLB TO FL370. WE RECEIVED CLRNC TO CLB TO FL370. OUT OF 35500 WE WERE INSTRUCTED TO TURN L BY ATC. RATE OF CLB UNTIL THEN WAS APPROX 500 FPM. TURN APPROX 20 DEGS L. DURING THE TURN, THE CLB AND AIRSPD STAGNATED. WE COULD NOT ACCELERATE OR CLB FOR A SHORT TIME. ATC TURNED US FURTHER L AND ASKED RATE OF CLB. WE TURNED AND EXPLAINED THAT THE TURN STAGNATED OUR CLB, BUT INITIALLY IT WAS ABOUT 500 FPM. ATC STATED AFTER WE RETURNED ON COURSE THAT IT TOOK 102 MI TO CLB FROM FL330 TO FL370 AND CAUSED HIM TO TURN US 90 DEGS (APPROX) TO THE L FOR TFC. NO OTHER PROBLEMS NOTED BY ATC.
