Narrative:
While climbing through 6000 ft MSL, right engine shuddered, backfired, lost manifold pressure, lost propeller RPM, lost oil pressure and egt. Immediately requested, and was granted, clearance to return to mia, precautionary. Planned flight was 3.5 hours over water, kmia to mtch. Landing was uneventful, engine continued to produce power (reduced) and emergency equipment assistance was not requested. Maintenance later reported #6 cylinder failure.

Narrative: WHILE CLBING THROUGH 6000 FT MSL, R ENG SHUDDERED, BACKFIRED, LOST MANIFOLD PRESSURE, LOST PROP RPM, LOST OIL PRESSURE AND EGT. IMMEDIATELY REQUESTED, AND WAS GRANTED, CLRNC TO RETURN TO MIA, PRECAUTIONARY. PLANNED FLT WAS 3.5 HRS OVER WATER, KMIA TO MTCH.
