Narrative:

Just prior to approach to sbp we experienced a low oil pressure light on the right engine. This was accompanied by a dropping indication on the right oil pressure gauge. We shut down the right engine and notified ATC of the single engine emergency. I requested the WX at sbp and sba. Due to runway conditions and WX at sbp I elected to continue to sba as the situation was not critical and sba was a much better airport and runway for the safe completion of the emergency flight. Approximately 6 mins later, ATC asked us if we would prefer to divert to smx. I again requested the WX at smx and sba. The WX seemed to be deteriorating rapidly at smx as there were reports of 'missed approachs' on the back course approach. Sba WX and runway conditions seemed to still be the best in the immediate area. We elected to land at sba and did so without incident.
