Narrative:
Aircraft X called for release off of leesburg airport when I was working departure data/arrival data position. After all appropriate coordination, I released aircraft Y at XX28Z with a void time of XX32 and call back time. The aircraft never acknowledged receipt of the transmission. I attempted contact with aircraft X 3-4 times. I got busy with my other duties, but still tried to call aircraft X twice afterwards. Then the radar controller stated he was talking to aircraft X and aircraft X was close to his traffic on final. The pilot never acknowledged receipt of his release.
