Narrative:
Practicing approachs to 1g3 we experienced radio failure of both navigation and communications. We tried to continue the approach but consequently drifted off course. The radios came back on and I notified ATC as soon as possible of the situation.

Title: PLT OF SMA PRACTICING INST APCHS TO 1G3 HAD LOSS OF COM AND NAV RADIOS MOMENTARILY. RADIOS AGAIN BECAME OPERABLE AND COM RE-ESTABLISHED WITH TRACON.
Narrative: PRACTICING APCHS TO 1G3 WE EXPERIENCED RADIO FAILURE OF BOTH NAV AND COMS. WE TRIED TO CONTINUE THE APCH BUT CONSEQUENTLY DRIFTED OFF COURSE. THE RADIOS CAME BACK ON AND I NOTIFIED ATC AS SOON AS POSSIBLE OF THE SITUATION.
