Narrative:

On short final to 2R at nashville international we were asked if we could sidestep to the center runway. Our approach was in progress. The ILS 2R GS out and had been already cleared to land when the request was made. We agreed and proceeded to maneuver to land on 2C. There was some ground fog covering the west half of the airport. Some of this fog was over the departure end of 2C. We are unclr if we were cleared correctly as the ATIS only called 1/2 mi visibility and 6000+ RVR on 2R, no RVR available on 2C. There is an approach to 2C which calls for 1 mi visibility. We feel we had the visibility to complete the approach and landing safely and never came in contact with any obscuring fog or clouds.
