Narrative:
Prior to descent flight engineer's hydraulic system 3 elevator off light illuminated. Quantity was slightly above 4 gallons and decreasing. Abnormal procedures were completed. An emergency was declared with a divert to mke due to deteriorating WX at ord.

Title: ACR WDB ENRTE TO ORD DIVERTED TO MKE DUE TO DETERIORATING WX AT ORD AND LOSS OF #3 HYD SYS BEFORE TOP OF DSCNT.
Narrative: PRIOR TO DSCNT FE'S HYDRAULIC SYS 3 ELEVATOR OFF LIGHT ILLUMINATED. QUANTITY WAS SLIGHTLY ABOVE 4 GALLONS AND DECREASING. ABNORMAL PROCS WERE COMPLETED. AN EMER WAS DECLARED WITH A DIVERT TO MKE DUE TO DETERIORATING WX AT ORD.
