Narrative:
While taxiing out to takeoff on runway 34L at sea-tac airport with an FAA inspector in the cockpit, both pilots had proper V1, vr, and 1/2 speeds set and vref speeds set for a tow as per operations manual for large transport (speeds were set vref flaps 30 degrees plus 20, plus 40, plus 60, plus 80 KT flap retract speeds). Prior to receiving our final close-out the FAA inspector told us our retract speeds were incorrect and made both of us readjust our speeds (which were approximately 5 KTS higher than needed). Both pilots readjusted to what FAA inspector told us (which was an adjustment of only 2 KTS. A few mins later we received our final close-out via ACARS and an uplink into the FMC's and we adjusted our vref speeds again.

Title: ACR FO SAYS AN ACI MADE THEM CHANGE THEIR VREF FLAP RETRACTION SPDS BEFORE TKOF AT SEA. SUBSEQUENT ACARS MESSAGE DICTATED A SECOND CHANGE.
Narrative: WHILE TAXIING OUT TO TKOF ON RWY 34L AT SEA-TAC ARPT WITH AN FAA INSPECTOR IN THE COCKPIT, BOTH PLTS HAD PROPER V1, VR, AND 1/2 SPDS SET AND VREF SPDS SET FOR A TOW AS PER OPS MANUAL FOR LGT (SPDS WERE SET VREF FLAPS 30 DEGS PLUS 20, PLUS 40, PLUS 60, PLUS 80 KT FLAP RETRACT SPDS). PRIOR TO RECEIVING OUR FINAL CLOSE-OUT THE FAA INSPECTOR TOLD US OUR RETRACT SPDS WERE INCORRECT AND MADE BOTH OF US READJUST OUR SPDS (WHICH WERE APPROX 5 KTS HIGHER THAN NEEDED). BOTH PLTS READJUSTED TO WHAT FAA INSPECTOR TOLD US (WHICH WAS AN ADJUSTMENT OF ONLY 2 KTS. A FEW MINS LATER WE RECEIVED OUR FINAL CLOSE-OUT VIA ACARS AND AN UPLINK INTO THE FMC'S AND WE ADJUSTED OUR VREF SPDS AGAIN.
