Narrative:
I was the PF. Air carrier X after being cleared for a visual approach to runway 19R at iad we asked for and were given a wind check at 1000 ft AGL. After landing the PNF realized we were still on approach frequency. Approach had not switched us over to tower. We really do not remember if we were cleared to land or not. There were no conflicts with other traffic and after we landed we asked ground control and they said 'no problem, the controller was aware of it.' in the future I will check at 1000 ft AGL that we are on tower frequency.
