Narrative:

While conducting a visual approach to runway 27R at phl, we were never switched to tower frequency. As a result, we landed without receiving a clearance. We were sequenced to follow a dc-9, spacing was good, and no traffic landing on runway 35. Approach frequency was quiet, which provided no cue for us to switch to tower on our own. Did not realize that we did not switch over until clearing runway and noticed taxi light was off. (Usually turned on as a visual reminder for landing clearance). Switched to ground control, and subsequently cleared to parking without incident or questioning.

Title: ACR X UNAUTH LNDG LANDED WITHOUT CLRNC.

Narrative: WHILE CONDUCTING A VISUAL APCH TO RWY 27R AT PHL, WE WERE NEVER SWITCHED TO TWR FREQ. AS A RESULT, WE LANDED WITHOUT RECEIVING A CLRNC. WE WERE SEQUENCED TO FOLLOW A DC-9, SPACING WAS GOOD, AND NO TFC LNDG ON RWY 35. APCH FREQ WAS QUIET, WHICH PROVIDED NO CUE FOR US TO SWITCH TO TWR ON OUR OWN. DID NOT REALIZE THAT WE DID NOT SWITCH OVER UNTIL CLRING RWY AND NOTICED TAXI LIGHT WAS OFF. (USUALLY TURNED ON AS A VISUAL REMINDER FOR LNDG CLRNC). SWITCHED TO GND CTL, AND SUBSEQUENTLY CLRED TO PARKING WITHOUT INCIDENT OR QUESTIONING.
