Narrative:
During a training flight the tower authorized us to land on a circling approach off ILS 13 (land 31). As the instructor pilot, I was busy with the student shooting a single engine approach. When tower cleared us to land, I thought I heard we were cleared for the option. We went missed approach and the tower said we were cleared to land. (Not the option) as a new instructor I will be more aware of the tower clearance, and ask for the option if required.
