Narrative:
Right engine quit without warning. Changed mixture, tried fuel pump high and low. There was no roughness, just quit. After determining that nearest airport runways were shorter than I desired, I elected to continue to cmh and 10000 ft runway. I did not switch tanks as I had a gut feeling the engine ran out of gas. The fuel gauges were both showing about 50 gallons each side. After landing I started right engine and ran it up to 40 inches mp with no problem. Also taxied aircraft about .5 mi. Mechanics determined there was 2 gallons of gas in tank on right side and about 35 gallons on left side. Unless the small transport is topped off (360 gallons) a visual check of fuel is not possible. I feel all my actions were correct at the time. The evidence (empty tank) showed this to be true. Low fuel lights would have been helpful as I would have known much earlier of a problem and taken action sooner.

LOW FUEL LIGHTS WOULD HAVE BEEN HELPFUL AS I WOULD HAVE KNOWN MUCH EARLIER OF A PROBLEM AND TAKEN ACTION SOONER.
