Narrative:

Landed on 36R, rolled to the end. Taxied south on a, crossed 26, left on ramp to 36R and back taxied to approach end and turned right on D. We were to park on our company ramp, deplane military passenger there, not the terminal. D had been closed due to nearby construction but was opened specifically for our use as access to our ramp. We did not know exactly where on our ramp or what direction our final parking space would be, none of us had been to tul before. From appearance of waiting buses, pallet carts and marshaller we believed we would go straight in, just to right of yellow line to avoid 2 vehicles parked at the edge of the ramp/construction site. Captain started to slow in anticipation of stopping and marshaller signaled a hard right and handed us off to #2 marshaller. We had not seen the #2 until that time. I believe he did not climb the ladder until just before the handoff. Power had to be added to make the turn. #2 marshaller never indicated any problem and kept signaling to continue. I saw an individual on the ground give the emergency stop and advised the captain who immediately stopped the aircraft. After establishing communication with ground we were told to shut down and that we had overturned 2 vehicles. I believe the 'surprise' handoff distracted us to a degree that caused us to no longer regard the vehicles and trust the marshaller. For all we knew the vehicles had been moved since we couldn't see them behind us. Looking back, the company ramp should never have been used for this operation. There were numerous other locations away from the construction far better suited. In a discussion with the #1 marshaller later I learned the ground personnel were totally unaware of the power put out by a widebody transport and had never been trained on the subject. They were unaware that they should have cleared the area behind us before commanding a turn. It's just fortunate that no one was hurt but 2 vehicles were destroyed through ignorance and lack of training.

Title: JET BLAST DAMAGE TO 2 PARKED VEHICLES FROM ACR WDB TAXIING TO RAMP AREA.

Narrative: LANDED ON 36R, ROLLED TO THE END. TAXIED S ON A, CROSSED 26, L ON RAMP TO 36R AND BACK TAXIED TO APCH END AND TURNED R ON D. WE WERE TO PARK ON OUR COMPANY RAMP, DEPLANE MIL PAX THERE, NOT THE TERMINAL. FROM APPEARANCE OF WAITING BUSES, PALLET CARTS AND MARSHALLER WE BELIEVED WE WOULD GO STRAIGHT IN, JUST TO R OF YELLOW LINE TO AVOID 2 VEHICLES PARKED AT THE EDGE OF THE RAMP/CONSTRUCTION SITE. CAPT STARTED TO SLOW IN ANTICIPATION OF STOPPING AND MARSHALLER SIGNALED A HARD R AND HANDED US OFF TO #2 MARSHALLER. WE HAD NOT SEEN THE #2 UNTIL THAT TIME. I BELIEVE HE DID NOT CLB THE LADDER UNTIL JUST BEFORE THE HDOF. PWR HAD TO BE ADDED TO MAKE THE TURN. #2 MARSHALLER NEVER INDICATED ANY PROBLEM AND KEPT SIGNALING TO CONTINUE. I SAW AN INDIVIDUAL ON THE GND GIVE THE EMER STOP AND ADVISED THE CAPT WHO IMMEDIATELY STOPPED THE ACFT. AFTER ESTABLISHING COM WITH GND WE WERE TOLD TO SHUT DOWN AND THAT WE HAD OVERTURNED 2 VEHICLES. I BELIEVE THE 'SURPRISE' HDOF DISTRACTED US TO A DEG THAT CAUSED US TO NO LONGER REGARD THE VEHICLES AND TRUST THE MARSHALLER. FOR ALL WE KNEW THE VEHICLES HAD BEEN MOVED SINCE WE COULDN'T SEE THEM BEHIND US. LOOKING BACK, THE COMPANY RAMP SHOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN USED FOR THIS OP. THERE WERE NUMEROUS OTHER LOCATIONS AWAY FROM THE CONSTRUCTION FAR BETTER SUITED. IN A DISCUSSION WITH THE #1 MARSHALLER LATER I LEARNED THE GND PERSONNEL WERE TOTALLY UNAWARE OF THE PWR PUT OUT BY A WDB AND HAD NEVER BEEN TRAINED ON THE SUBJECT. THEY WERE UNAWARE THAT THEY SHOULD HAVE CLRED THE AREA BEHIND US BEFORE COMMANDING A TURN. IT'S JUST FORTUNATE THAT NO ONE WAS HURT BUT 2 VEHICLES WERE DESTROYED THROUGH IGNORANCE AND LACK OF TRAINING.
