Narrative:
I was advised by chief pilot's office (note in my file) that iah center said we had missed reporting point at nuley intersection, en route can-iah. This was new to me! 9 days elapsed after flight, I think our report was relayed through another aircraft. And, I remember a discussion with center regarding estimates. I thought this occurred at or around nuley. If there was a problem, why didn't they say so at the time. We're in a poor position to count on memory 9 days later! This harassment regarding flts over gulf of mexico should end! Our crews are doing their best, with limited navigation equipment and communications. Dead reckoning should not be allowed at any time! The company should have to provide 2 omegas, as well as HF for communications for these rtes. The pilots are taking the hit for flying with inadequate, unsafe equipment.
