Narrative:
I was PIC of air carrier flight to cincinnati, oh. I was cleared to 11000 ft (MSL), direct robinsville, expect climb (further) in 7 mi. Adhered to clearance. No incident reported to me by ny departure control. I learned several hours later that another airlines flight in a descent to jfk, at 13000 ft MSL took evasive action due to TCASII alert and climbed 500 ft above 13000 ft. My aircraft was not equipped with TCASII. I have no knowledge of the incident other than what I was told post incident. TCASII software should be examined and modified to preclude incidents such as this.
