Narrative:
Crossing weiser field northbound I called weiser unicom with position, then referred to my sectional for hooks frequency. Got ATIS on 124.95, tuned 122.95 cross referenced that with flight guide U.122.95. Called for hooks tower several times, got no response, heard no traffic. Headed for mid-field calling position, joined pattern, mixing in between other traffic. Assumed tower closed, so treated pattern as uncontrolled field. Looked for people in tower, saw none. Looked for signal lights from tower on final, got none. Landed, taxied to terminal. Message to call tower. Surprised, didn't think they were in operation. Whole problem was caused because I picked up the unicom 122.95 frequency. From the sectional and cross referenced with flight guide. Could have been prevented by more careful attention to in-flight use of sectional and flight guide; with more skeptical attitude when got no response on 122.95.

Title: UNAUTHORIZED LNDG AFTER ERRONEOUS PENETRATION OF AIRSPACE. PROX OF ATA.
Narrative: XING WEISER FIELD NBOUND I CALLED WEISER UNICOM WITH POS, THEN REFERRED TO MY SECTIONAL FOR HOOKS FREQ. GOT ATIS ON 124.95, TUNED 122.95 CROSS REFERENCED THAT WITH FLT GUIDE U.122.95. CALLED FOR HOOKS TWR SEVERAL TIMES, GOT NO RESPONSE, HEARD NO TFC. HEADED FOR MID-FIELD CALLING POS, JOINED PATTERN, MIXING IN BTWN OTHER TFC. ASSUMED TWR CLOSED, SO TREATED PATTERN AS UNCTLED FIELD. LOOKED FOR PEOPLE IN TWR, SAW NONE. LOOKED FOR SIGNAL LIGHTS FROM TWR ON FINAL, GOT NONE. LANDED, TAXIED TO TERMINAL. MESSAGE TO CALL TWR. SURPRISED, DIDN'T THINK THEY WERE IN OP. WHOLE PROBLEM WAS CAUSED BECAUSE I PICKED UP THE UNICOM 122.95 FREQ. FROM THE SECTIONAL AND CROSS REFERENCED WITH FLT GUIDE. COULD HAVE BEEN PREVENTED BY MORE CAREFUL ATTN TO INFLT USE OF SECTIONAL AND FLT GUIDE; WITH MORE SKEPTICAL ATTITUDE WHEN GOT NO RESPONSE ON 122.95.
